3. How we share your information

We share information only as described below:

We require any third party that receives your personal data to provide the same or equal protection of user data as stated in this Policy.

4. Location information

With your permission, RAIR accesses your device’s precise location only while the app is in use to detect when you are at or near a participating venue so we can offer a quick check-in. We do not track your location continuously in the background. You can grant or revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings; if you decline, location-based features (such as automatic venue detection) will not be available, but you can still use the rest of the Service.

5. Camera, microphone & photos

With your permission, RAIR uses your camera and microphone to capture photos and videos (including “moments”) and to set your profile picture, and accesses your photo library so you can select or save media. We only access these when you actively use the relevant feature. You can manage these permissions in your device Settings. Media you upload is stored on our cloud infrastructure (see Section 8) and shared according to the feature you use.

6. Push notifications

If you enable notifications, we use a push token to send alerts such as new messages, follows, and activity. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device Settings.

7. User content & visibility to others

RAIR is a social product, so much of what you add is intended to be seen by other users. Your profile and the content you post may be viewed, and in some cases re-shared or screenshotted, by others. Please only share content you are comfortable making visible to the community.

We provide safety tools so you stay in control:

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users, and we act on reports of such content.

8. Third-party service providers

We rely on the following categories of providers to deliver the Service. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and realtime messaging infrastructure.
Amazon Web Services (AWS S3)Secure storage and delivery of uploaded photos and videos.
Expo / Apple Push Notification serviceDelivery of push notifications.

Each provider maintains its own privacy and security practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

9. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete your account and associated personal data from our active systems as described in Section 10. Limited information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and security.

10. Account deletion & your choices

You can delete your account at any time directly within the app from Profile → Edit Profile → Privacy → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and your associated personal data — including your photos, videos, posts, moments, comments, messages, and interactions — from our active databases, and prevents you from logging back in with the same credentials. This action is irreversible.

You may also manage your information by editing your profile, adjusting your privacy settings, controlling permissions in your device Settings, or contacting us at the address in Section 16.

11. Your privacy rights (GDPR / CCPA & others)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Our legal bases for processing include performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 16. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

12. Data security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed password storage, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues.

13. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.

14. International data transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

15. Changes to this Policy
